Second meeting of Zonal Executive Committee was held on 5th November, 2016 at Poultry House Johar Town Lahore. Dr. Abdul Karim Chairman PPA (NZ), Mr. RazaMehmoodKhursand, Mr. KhaleequeArshad, Dr. ArshadHanif, RaiMansab Ali Kharl, Ch. Muhammad Fargham, Dr. Syed Muzammil Shah, Mr. Muhammad Sharif Malik, Mr. Muhammad Sajid Malik, Mian Tariq Mehmood, MianMuhammad Imran and Ch. Muhammad Azmat attended the meeting.
The meeting was presided over by Dr. Abdul Karim. He while addressing the meeting said that Poultry Industry of Pakistan is one of the most organized sectors of Pakistan and is serving the nation since 1962. Audit Report of IPEX 2016 was placed in front of every member for perusal and was read over by Zonal Secretary and after the detailed discussion was approved. The Grey Areas observed during IPEX 2016 were discussed in detail by the house and Mr. RazaMehmoodKhursand while addressing also confirmed that he along with RaiMansab Ali Kharl and Major (Retd) Syed JavaidHussainBukhari has met the Expo authorities where they ensured that in next IPEX 2017 these problems will not be repeated.
While discussing about Consumer education campaign Dr. Abdul Karim also informed the house that an aggressive campaign of consumer education throughout the zone to eliminate the myths and mis-concepts about poultry and its products, which is adversely affecting the consumption of chicken Meat and Eggs has already been started . We are taking such measures which could eliminate the mis-conceptions and increase the consumption of chicken meat during the year. All the activities that are in process, started or about to start were informed to the house for open discussion. Following decisions related to upcoming IPEX-2017 were also made by the house unanimously:-
- KhaleequeArshad former Chairman PPA (NZ) was appointed as Convener Standing Committee Internal Audits of PPA/IPEX accounts.
- Abdul Haye Mehta was appointed as Chief Organizer IPEX 2017 unanimously by the house, being proposed by Dr. Abdul Karim and seconded by Mr. Sajid Malik.
